"GATEWAY WINTER" 5x7 SOLD
- Over the course of a year, Dix Baines was commissioned to paint an area 40 miles south of Grand Junction, Colorado called Gateway. The goal was to capture the land, in particular a prominent feature called the Palisade, in all seasons and all light. To date, some 50 paintings have been completed, with approximately 40 of them being purchased by the property Gateway Canyons. The day the this painting was created, it was actually 13 degrees out.
